Last weak something very thrilling happened to me. I just get an unknown phone number flashing on my cell. It happens in the evening, I was at home with my parents and my dog. I have all my friend's names registered, so if any of then would call me, the cellphone would immediately point his name.i was very nervous and did not pick the call in the end.
After some time I got very curious, I wanted to find out who was calling me. After some research I found 3 ways to point who was calling from that number: call from a public phone, look up in the crisscross directory or perform a online search.
Call from a public phone
I considered this option for some time. Is is something easy to do but involves some risks. First, you must know how to act and pretend being someone else. This way, the person who tried to contact you won't be suspicious of anything. Since I get nervous rather easily, I gave up this possibility.
Look up in the Crisscross directory
This was also a possibility I considered for some time. Actually, those crisscross directories are some printed files that sorts phone numbers by address rather then by name, can be very expensive and are normally limited by a town radius.
Search Online
In my opinion, this is the most wise, cheap and fast solution. With those internet databases, performing a search to find who is hiding behind a phone number is very easy. There are even free services but normally, those doesn't offer organization (the interface is hard to use and the results are hard to read) and may give inaccurate information, such as not up-to-date data. Paid services on the other side offers usable interface, quicker and more accurate results.
Besides, the service I used was not too expensive. A single fee gave me unlimited use for 2 months. So the next time this thing happen, I already know where to find the information I need.
